Katherine Miller teaches drawing and painting at NAC. She studied at Skidmore College, the New York School of Visual Arts, and Studio Art Centers International in Italy. She has taught across Massachusetts, in New York, Colorado and Italy. Currently she teaches at the Arlington Center for the Arts and the Danforth Museum of Art as well as NAC. Katherine works mostly with acrylic and oil paints, but also uses charcoal and other mixed media in her paintings. Her work, both abstract and representational, uses the movement and visual sensation of brushstrokes to capture the emotion of the scene. The colors and contrast of her work add to the depth of feeling in each piece.
