Wen-hao Tien (Cambridge, MA) was born and raised in Taiwan and moved to the United States to study at Columbia University. From 1996-2010, she worked at the Harvard University Asia Center and the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies. Wen-hao studied art in New York (1988-1996) and through apprenticeships with Chinese calligraphy and painting masters (1996-present). She has exhibited at the National Heritage Museum, Boston Children’s Museum, the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center, the Eastern University of Michigan, and in Santa Fe galleries. Wen-hao’s work combines eastern cultural identities and Western Abstract Expressionism with a special interest in "lines."
