The New Art Center in Newton operates two galleries and several satellite galleries:
Our Main Gallery offers a 2,500 square foot space with soaring ceilings. The majority of our Main Gallery exhibitions are awarded through our Curatorial Opportunity Program (COP). In addition to our COP exhibitions, the Main Gallery also hosts a variety community partner exhibitions, as well as our annual student and faculty exhibition, The Creative Process, each spring.
Stay tuned for details for 2017.
The Holzwasser Gallery was created in 1991 due to a generous donation from Mary Holzwasser (1912-2003), an artist, student, New Art Center board member, and lifelong patron of the arts. Holzwasser Gallery exhibitions enhance the learning available in our studios and enliven the conversation about teaching, learning and participating in the arts by providing New Art Center students, faculty, staff and volunteers an opportunity to present their current work in a professional gallery.
