All of our instructors are professional artists who share their knowledge and training because they love what they do. If you would like to teach at the New Art Center, please mail or email the materials listed below and be sure to note our term dates when you are proposing a class.
Proposals are accepted on an on-going basis, but should be submitted by the dates indicated below. Teaching proposals may involve courses using several media, organized around themes, working across arts, around social, cultural or historical concepts, but the mission of the New Art Center is a focus on visual art. New teachers are encouraged to review our course offerings online or in our print catalog and propose classes that complement current offerings. Our facilities include 2 ceramics studios, 3 visual arts studios, and two galleries.
Our programs are structured in four terms:
Adult courses run in the mornings, evenings and weekends, and teen and children’s programs run in the afternoons and weekends.
To propose a class, send the following to Claudia Fiks, Education Director, New Art Center, 61 Washington Park, Newtonville, MA 02460, or E-mail Claudia
