Tatiana Yanovskaya-Sink was born in Kharkov, Ukraine, where she was exposed to some of the greatest Russian and Ukrainian artists. She began taking art classes at an early age, then went on to earn her BS in Mechanical Engineering, and later, an advanced degree as Patent Agent from the Moscow Patent & Trademark Office. While working in the field of intellectual property, she continued her artistic studies at the Kharkov Academy of Art.
Upon the breakup of the Soviet Union, Tatiana immigrated to the United States, settling in the Boston area and working as a patent paralegal. Since the 1990s, she has been a member of several art associations in the South Shore area of Boston, where she has continued her training with many talented and revered artists. Tatiana now works from her studio in Rockland, MA and teaches throughout New England. She is a member of Putney Painters Group, Connecticut Portrait Society, and an honorable member of the of Museum of Fine Arts’ Medici Group.
Her work has been exhibited at: South Street Gallery, Hingham, The LilyPad Gallery, Watch Hill, RI; Harbor Gallery, Sunapee, NH; Purple Gallery, Lebanon, NH; J. Todd Gallery, Boston; Art 3 Gallery, Manchester, NH; Lorica Gallery, Andover, MA; and From Russia with Art Gallery, Cambridge, MA, Massachusetts General Hospital’s Illuminations Project, Boston MA; Apollinaire Theatre, Chelsea, MA. She has participated in juried shows through the North River Art Society in Marshfield Hills, Duxbury, South Shore Center of Art, Quincy Art Association, Salon International at Greenhouse Gallery, among others.
Her work has earned several awards, including Beacon Hill Art Walk (Best of Show, 2010, 2011), Quincy Art Association (1st Place, 2010, 2011), Guild of Boston Artists (Silver Medal, 2011), Scottsdale Artists School (Best of Show, 2011).
