Check out these community art centers located in several greater Boston communities. They may provide a child's first arts experience, much needed studio space for artists, exhibitions of traditional and emerging arts, or the highest quality arts classes taught by leading educators. And you don't need to be a resident of their community to participate.


www.eliotschool.org - The Eliot School has been providing quality fine and applied arts classes in Jamaica Plain since 1887.

www.ashbysolutions.com - The Children's Hands-On Art Museum in Littleton features four interactive exhibitions designed for children ages 3 and up. Art supplies and trained staff are available at all times to guide visitors through the creative process.

www.mudflat.org - Mudflat is a professionally run ceramics school for adults and children and is home to 18 clay artists in Somerville. Don't miss their bi-annual open studio and sale!

www.townonline.com/brooklineartscenter - The Brookline Art Center features studio classes for adults and children conveniently located to public transportation.

www.acarts.org - The Arlington Center for the Arts features courses in visual, literary and performing arts, exhibitions, and artists studios in Arlington.

www.ssac.org - South Shore Art Center features studio classes and workshops for adults and youth, exhibitions, and special events in Cohasset.
