Loading Classes

Art educators will lead participants through different make-and-take activities that highlight the themes, rituals, and traditions of different holidays. Performances include DEAFinitely, a non- profit organization that serves Deaf and hearing youth representing multi-lingual, cultural, racial, and socio-economic diversity; a Mexika solstice performance by Calpulli Coyoxochitl; a Hanukkah musical performance by Nat Seelan from the internationally-acclaimed Ezekiel’s Wheels Klezmer Band, a Diwali dance performance from Vidyanjali School of Dance, and an interactive Bollywood dance workshop from Swasti Bhargava, founder of Swasti School Of Dance.

We will also be featuring the Jewish Arts Collaborative’s illuminated mobile art exhibit, Brighter Ignited. This super-sized interactive light display will tour Greater Boston during Hanukkah 2022, featuring illuminated artwork by hundreds of participants from local communities.

This event is FREE and open to all ages!

REGISTRATION POLICIES

Insufficient Enrollment: The New Art Center will make a full refund for any class cancelled due to insufficient enrollment.

Withdrawal: Up to 7 days before the first class, you may withdraw for a refund, less a $25 administrative fee per class. For any tuition payments paid by credit card your full convenience fees will be deducted from your refund. Withdrawals from classes, workshops, and events under $40 are eligible for course credit only, less a $10 fee or the full tuition amount can be donated to the New Art Center. Donors will receive an acknowledgment letter for tax purposes. Course credits are good for 1 year from the date of issue, after which time you will receive an acknowledgment letter for tax purposes.

Summer Camp Withdrawal: All withdrawals for our Summer Camp must be made by June 9 to receive a refund, less a $25 administrative fee per week. For any tuition payments paid by credit card, your full convenience fees will be deducted from your refund.

Student Absences: No refunds will be made for student absences including absences due to COVID or other sickness. We understand that students may have to miss class for a variety of reasons, but New Art decides whether or not to run a class before the term starts based on enrollment and sufficient tuition to cover our costs. Refunding students for individual absences makes it difficult to calculate a breakeven point for each class.

Faculty Absences: All efforts will be made to find a substitute for faculty absences. In the event that a class must be cancelled, students will be notified by email, which will be sent to the address provided during registration. One makeup class will be scheduled each term for a single absence by a faculty member. For multiple absences, a substitute faculty member will be assigned. There will be no refunds for faculty absences.

Scholarships: Limited scholarships are available according to need. Please apply here.
