Dates: 10/02 – 10/03
Details: Saturday and Sunday, 2 Sessions
Times: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Make beautiful blue cyanotype prints on fabric and watercolor paper with this fun and easy two-day workshop for adults! Cyanotypes, otherwise known as blueprints, are one of the earliest forms of photography. By laying 2D objects on top of chemically treated material, you’ll create a deep blue print with bright, ghost-white silhouettes.
Bring your own fall botanicals, book pages, jewelry, tea, black and white photographic film negatives, or anything else you want to try! All other materials will be supplied by the New Art Center. At the end of day one, you’ll mount your fabric print in an embroidery hoop so that it is ready to hang. On the second day, you’ll work with cyanotype treated watercolor paper.
