Learn about the origin, history, and significance of Madhubani folk art, a style of painting from the Mithila region of Bihar state in India. This beautiful and highly intricate painting is known for its geometric patterns and features figures, nature scenes, deities, and special events.

Anjana Bhargava is a Madhubani painter, folk artist, and Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner. She has taught at the Art and Innovation Center, Weston, The Weston Council on Aging, and a number of local community centers.

In the event of a COVID-related building closure, in-person classes will continue with live online learning (Zoom). In the case of equipment-intensive courses, the curriculum may be adjusted slightly. For example, all ceramics classes will continue with a handbuilding focus.

Please Note: Online registration for classes that begin on Monday or Saturday close the Friday before at 12PM. Online registration for classes that begin on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday close on the day before at 12PM. Adult Live Online Learning (Zoom) Classes: The “Student’s Email” you provide during registration will be emailed the Zoom link and login information one hour before the class begins.
