Workshop – Catherine Kernan
In a sequenced series of prints, learn the basics of Akua soy-based inks. Starting with traditional techniques of additive, subtractive and trace monotype, move on to registration choices, approaches to color, ghost prints, the use of resists, and viscosity rolling. The emphasis is on modifying the inks and learning their unique characteristics. More experienced participants may pursue an individual direction. No toxic fumes and extended workability make it a liberating experience. All materials provided.
