Michael Wilson

Michael Bruce Wilson has been a painter and artist for more than thirty years. He is an artist based in Waltham, MA. Graduating with a Studio Diploma in 1987 followed by a 5th-Year Program first prize from the SMFA, Boston, Wilson has been granted several artist residencies, including The MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, and the Ucross Foundation. Michael has shown his paintings in galleries in New York City, Los Angeles, Denver, Santa Fe, and Boston, and been co-owner and director of OZ Gallery in Provincetown, MA for 5 years.  His paintings are in many corporate collections in the U.S. and abroad, including Fidelity Investment Corp., Ritz Carlton, Hyatt and Sheraton hotels, Ssang Yong Corp. of Seoul, South Korea.

 

He has taught at the New Art Center since 2009.

 

Today

In the event of a COVID-related building closure, in-person classes will continue with live online learning (Zoom). In the case of equipment-intensive courses, the curriculum may be adjusted slightly. For example, all ceramics classes will continue with a handbuilding focus.

Please Note: Online registration for classes that begin on Monday or Saturday close the Friday before at 12PM. Online registration for classes that begin on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday close on the day before at 12PM. If class registration has closed online and you are interested in registering, please email Marte at marte@newartcenter.org.

Adult Live Online Learning (Zoom) Classes: The “Student’s Email” you provide during registration will be emailed the Zoom link and login information one hour before the class begins.

Children/Teen Live Online Learning (Zoom) Classes: The email you provide at checkout will be emailed the Zoom link and login information one hour before the class begins.
