Our main office and studio building is located at 61 Washington Park. Our building is a 19th century church. At Washington Park we have two fully equipped ceramics studios and five painting, drawing, and mixed-media studios. Rotating exhibitions by our students, staff and faculty can be viewed in our Holzwasser Gallery. We offer classes and workshops for children, teens, and adults at our Washington Park space.

Parking

The New Art Center has a small, no fee parking lot for students and visitors. Please note, the parking lot is one way and accessed from Madison Avenue. Alternatively there is free 3-hour street parking on Washington Park or free street parking after 9:30 AM on Madison Avenue.

Our facility is in a residential neighborhood; please do not block our neighbors’ driveways for drop off or pick ups.

Directions

Driving: The New Art Center is accessible via the Mass Pike and Route 128.

Public Transportation: The nearest T stop is the Newton Center stop on the Green Line (D). The nearest bus is the 59. Exit at Walnut Street and Washington Park. Contact the MBTA for schedules and fare information.

The New Art Center is a 7-minute walk from the Newtonville Commuter Rail Stop. Walk south down Harvard Ave, take your third right on Madison Ave, New Art Center will be on your left.
