The New Art Center Offers 10 Weeks of Summer Camp for Kids

June 22 – August 28, 2026

Looking for a children’s summer art camp in Newton, MA? New Art Center’s 2026 Summer Art Camp gives students entering grades 1–6 a full-day creative camp experience with drawing, painting, clay, 3D art, STEAM, movement, and performance. Located in Newton near Brookline, Wellesley, Watertown, Needham, Belmont, and Boston, our summer art camp is designed for kids of all experience levels.

The New Art Camp Experience

Students entering grades 1-6 will spend summer vacation immersed in the arts. New Art’s camp programs are designed for students interested in developing skills, creativity, and self-expression at any ability level.

Weekly Schedule*: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM – $630/week

After Care*: Monday – Friday 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM – $120/week

* Week 2 is a 4-day week due to the July 4th holiday.

Extended Day Available

Can’t make the 4 PM pick up time? Have a teen who won’t be done until 5 PM? Add on our Extended Day program and bump back your pick up time! This option is great for parents with children in both the teen and children’s programs, those who drive a long way with traffic, or just can’t make it for 4 PM!

9 8/17-8/21 Fairy Tales, Folklore, and Fables Step into a world of magic, wonder, and storybooks as we explore some of our favorite fantasy tales. Students will use their imaginations to revisit classic stories in new ways, while building on their artistic skills. $630/ $120 Register

Things to Know

  • Participants must bring a lunch and two snacks each day.
  • For students’ and staff’s safety, no nuts or peanuts are allowed at New Art Center
  • Bring a water bottle! We have refilling stations to replenish water throughout the day.
  • Emergency form information is now collected during the registration process.
  • All materials provided; all levels welcome.
  • There will be supervised outdoor time in Washington Park and New Art’s grounds, weather permitting
  • Wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting dirty!
  • Summer program – Register your child for the grade they will be entering in Fall 2026.
  • We offer an extended day option for our children’s summer camp for an additional cost.
