Running from November 6, 2015 to December 19, 2015 in the Holzwasser Gallery
The New Art Center in Newton (NAC) is pleased to present Line Up, on view in the Holzwasser Gallery November 6 through December 19, 2015. This exhibition brings together four artists to investigate line in varying sculptural terms. Ceramicist Julie Fox, a member of the NAC faculty, will show alongside her student Ina Zilber, a painter and sculptor who brings an illustrative approach to ceramic glazing and handbuilding. Artists James Cusano and Margaret Scoppa, NAC students, join them to present found-object compositions that blur the lines between two and three dimensions. The artists embody line to create psychological associations, narrate stories or explore their materials.
