“Art completes a feeling unique to you! We hope this auction helps you to connect in a way that brings you joy, beauty, and maybe a sense of place as you help the New Art Center continue its mission to engage our community in this creative piece of our world.”

-Signe Haas

Signe Haas is the consummate supporter of the arts in our extended Boston community. For twenty-five years, Haas has fostered and maintained lasting relationships with artists and patrons alike by dedicating her time to the arts as a patron, committee member, and influencer. Each year she volunteers her services to support The School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University’s (SMFA) annual Art Sale, where she focuses on building connections between artists and collectors.

Additionally, Haas is a leading member of the events committee and an acting chairperson/organizer for the “Yart Sale” at Concord Art. When opportunities arise, Haas extends herself beyond the role of support and takes on projects that flex her creative muscles, such as co-curating Concord Art’s first-ever Faculty exhibition. Working with different fine arts institutions allows Haas to do what she loves, connecting artists with collaborators, collectors, and fellow cohorts.

Signe Haas has hand-picked artwork for the New Art Center art auction that reflects the incredible talent we have in our Boston community. This curation includes a diverse grouping of emerging, mid-career, and established artists who are represented in many private and public collections such as, but not limited to, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, and the Federal Reserve Bank. Many of these artists have gallery representation and have been juried in prestigious exhibitions; Addison Gallery, deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Fitchburg Art Museum, and the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (Mass MoCA).
