New Art Center presents “Over the Rainbow,” a Pride exhibition celebrating queer intergenerational connection!

We are looking for works by LGBTQ artists of any medium, age, or identity to fill our 24-hour-access corridor. The work submitted should be related to time, history, transcending the systemic barriers placed for the LGBTQ community, growing up, caring for children, or related to the theme in any way you see fit. We are also looking for performers to act as movers and models for a hybrid life drawing performance.

You can submit your work through our Google form (if you have a Google account). If not, please email your submission materials to Thomas at [email protected].

Deadline

  • 11:59 PM, Sunday, May 8, 2023

Eligibility

  • Open to all LGBTQ+-identifying artists. This exhibition is interested in prioritizing the voices of trans artists, BIPOC artists, artists ages 60+, children, teachers, and southern artists, as these are the groups being exponentially attacked by anti-queer legislation.

Generously sponsored by The Village Bank, The Newton Cultural Council, and The Massachusetts Cultural Council

  • 3D works must not exceed 11″W x 18″H x 11″D without conversation with space managers about potential security risks.
