Materials, In Person Classes & Programs

  • Materials ARE provided for all ceramics classes, teen, and children’s classes.
  • Materials ARE NOT provided for adult classes other than ceramics, unless noted in the description. Adult Ceramics students will be required to purchase their own tools.
  • Materials lists can be found on our website.
  • New Art Center follows best practices for artists working in oil-based paints: All solvents, rags and waste must be disposed of in the red trash cans in ELVAS. If solvents must be used, please use the safest solvent, Gamsol. Absolutely no turpentine, turpenoid, or odorless paint thinners. New Art Center staff and teachers can answer questions about safe practices.

Storage Of Artwork

There is limited storage for student artwork at the New Art Center. All artwork must be removed by students by the last day of the term. New Art can not be responsible for work left in the building.

Zoom: When Zoom Class Information is Sent

  • Adult Classes: The “Student’s Email” you provide during registration will be emailed the Zoom link and login information one hour before the class begins.
  • Time of Class: Instructors reserve the right to use waiting rooms for their Zoom classrooms. If your instructor is using waiting rooms, we recommend signing onto your class a few minutes beforehand or at the start time. Latecomers may have some difficulty joining.
