Join us on Zoom for our spring Artist Talk Series featuring contemporary artists whose work explores community and public spaces.

Elisa H. Hamilton is a socially engaged multimedia artist who creates inclusive artworks that emphasize shared spaces and the hopeful examination of our everyday places, objects, and experiences. Hamilton’s work ranges from drawings and paintings, to interactive installations and public programming – all grounded in a deep desire to bring people together in imagination, conversation, joy, and possibility.

In this artist talk, Hamilton will discuss previous and current projects, as well as share her own perspective on what it means to create community-centered work.

In the event of a COVID-related building closure, in-person classes will continue with live online learning (Zoom). In the case of equipment-intensive courses, the curriculum may be adjusted slightly. For example, all ceramics classes will continue with a handbuilding focus.

Please Note: Online registration for classes that begin on Monday or Saturday close the Friday before at 12PM. Online registration for classes that begin on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday close on the day before at 12PM. If class registration has closed online and you are interested in registering, please email Marte at marte@newartcenter.org.

Adult Live Online Learning (Zoom) Classes: The “Student’s Email” you provide during registration will be emailed the Zoom link and login information one hour before the class begins.
