Vincent Crotty

Vincent is an Irish-born artist who has been living in Boston since 1990. Regarded for his landscapes, seascapes, nocturnes, and figurative paintings, he paints with fluid and vigorous brushstrokes, balanced by sensitive color. Vincent has been exhibiting his work for over 35 years, with gallery shows in Ireland and throughout the US. His paintings has been recognized with awards from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the John Stobart Foundation, Plein Air Magazine, and plein air art competitions internationally. Vincent has taught workshops in Colorado, Wyoming, Nova Scotia, Wexford (Ireland), and throughout Massachusetts. He’s a long-time faculty member at the Catskills Irish Arts Week in New York, and he currently teaches weekly classes at the New Art Center in Newton, Mass.

In the event of a COVID-related building closure, in-person classes will continue with live online learning (Zoom). In the case of equipment-intensive courses, the curriculum may be adjusted slightly. For example, all ceramics classes will continue with a handbuilding focus.

Please Note: Online registration for classes that begin on Monday or Saturday close the Friday before at 12PM. Online registration for classes that begin on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday close on the day before at 12PM. Adult Live Online Learning (Zoom) Classes: The “Student’s Email” you provide during registration will be emailed the Zoom link and login information one hour before the class begins.

Children/Teen Live Online Learning (Zoom) Classes: The email you provide at checkout will be emailed the Zoom link and login information one hour before the class begins.
