Students entering grades 1-7 spend summer vacation immersed in the arts. New Art’s programs are designed for students interested in developing skills, creativity, and self expression at any ability level. Each week will be packed with possibilities, imagination, and fun as students explore 5 exciting activities each day: 2D, 3D, performing arts, clay, and STEAM.
James Monterosso
Hi! I’m James Monterosso, a Boston-based illustrator, animator, and digital designer, and I’m thrilled to be joining the New Art Center this summer as a teaching assistant. My work spans motion graphics, character design, and storytelling, and I’m passionate about helping young artists grow and express themselves. I’m excited to support students this summer and be part of a creative, inspiring environment!
Maddie Starr Wicker
Maddie Starr Wicker is an award-winning Actor, Educator, and Artistic Professional who is absolutely ecstatic about joining the New Arts Summer Staff! An Emerson BFA Acting and Dance graduate, my experience has led to local educational theater residencies and international vocal performances. I strive to lead the classroom with empathy, tact, and offer students the permission to be silly; my goal as an educator in the arts is to spark happiness and allow people to find themselves as artists AND people in the work/play!
