Have artwork you would love to see find a new home while supporting a great cause? We invite teaching artists, students, alumni, collectors, and community members to donate original paintings, photography, prints, ceramics, and mixed media to the New Yart Sale, a one day community art sale benefiting the New Art Center.
Artwork can be dropped off at the New Art Center, 61 Washington Park in Newton, through April 17, Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. All artwork is donated in full and 100% of proceeds support New Art Center programs, scholarships, and community access initiatives.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Who can donate artwork? Teaching artists, students (current and former), alumni, collectors, and community members are all welcome to donate!
What types of artwork are accepted? We welcome paintings, photography, prints, ceramics and mixed media in good condition — something you would feel happy to have in your own home.
What if I’m not sure whether my artwork will be accepted and don’t want to drive over unnecessarily? If you’re unsure whether your artwork meets our donation guidelines, please email gabryella@newartcenter.org with a photo, dimensions, and medium. Our team will happily review and let you know whether it’s a good fit before you make the trip.
Do artworks need to be framed? Not at all—unframed pieces are welcome.
Can I donate blank canvases or art supplies? Yes! We gladly accept donations of blank canvases and art supplies. Please note that these items will be used to support programs at New Art and will not be sold at the Yart Sale.
When and where can I drop off artwork? Please drop off any art pieces at the following location:
New Art Center – 61 Washington Park, Newton, MA Monday, February 23rd – Friday, April 17th: 9am – 5pm (If after April 17th, please contact us!)
When you arrive at New Art, please go to the Main Office and let someone know you have art to drop off for the New Yart Sale.
What if I can’t drop off during listed times? No worries! Please call our main office at 617.964.3424 and we can try to accommodate.
What condition must artwork be in? Yes. All artwork must be in good, stable condition.
Are there size limits? We ask that for 2D artwork, pieces are no larger than 72in (max for height or width) ,and for ceramic pieces, they are no larger than 12x12in.
Can I donate multiple pieces? Yes. You may donate multiple works, but please be aware that donations will be received at the discretion of the New Art Center staff. If you have any questions about donating your work before bringing it in, please contact Gabby at gabryella@newartcenter.org.
Can I donate reproductions? We ask that you only donate original artwork.
Is this a full donation? Yes. This is a 100% donation of artwork. The New Art Center retains all proceeds from the sale.
Where does the money go? 100% of proceeds support the programs and operations of the New Art Center, including scholarships, community access initiatives, Art as Therapy programs, and creative education for all ages.
