  • Refunds and Credits:

    • Insufficient Enrollment: The New Art Center will make a full tuition refund for any class canceled due to insufficient enrollment. New Art has a minimum enrollment to run classes and cover our costs.

    • Withdrawals Up to 7 Days Before Class Starts:  A $25 administrative service fee is charged for withdrawals up to 7 days before the first day of class. For any tuition payments paid by credit card the full convenience fee will be deducted from your refund.
    • Withdrawals Within 7 Days of Class Start: No refunds or credits will be given after 7 days.
  • Tuition Cost Increases: At the New Art Center, we strongly believe financial circumstances should never prevent a student or artist from creating their art, and we work to keep our pricing transparent while paying our faculty and staff competitive wages. As labor and material costs increase, New Art may raise prices from time to time. If these increases pose a limiting factor for you, please consider our Tuition Assistance program. New Art offers need-based partial and full tuition assistance to children, teens, and adults to attend our programs. Learn more here.

Tuition Assistance

  • Scholarships: New Art provides limited scholarships each term based on financial need. Please apply here or call our office to learn more.

Registration Information

  • Class Confirmations: Register early so that your class will run! Courses will be confirmed approximately one week before a class begins, if there are enough students to run the class. Registrations may be accepted after a class begins if space is available with the instructor’s approval.
  • Waitlist Status: If the class you want is full, sign up for the waitlist! It’s free, and you can always turn down the spot if it’s offered to you.
  • Trial Classes:  We do not offer trial classes at this time but we do have “Try-It” workshops available most terms.  Check our current workshops here.

  • Late Registration:  If class registration has closed online and you are interested in registering, please email marte@newartcenter.org or call the office (617) 964-3424.  Registrations may be accepted after a class begins if space is available with the instructor’s approval.
