Jan Taylor
Jan Taylor joins the New Art Center with over 25 years of experience in leadership, community development, and nonprofit fundraising, including more than a decade as the owner of a fitness studio dedicated to fostering community and well-being.
A proud native of Provincetown, Jan grew up immersed in the arts and holds a deep appreciation for creative expression, inspired by her grandmother, a celebrated local artist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in theatre and a master’s degree in communications management.
“New Art is driven by the belief that creative experiences cultivate self-expression, expand minds, foster well-being, inspire joy, and build inclusive communities,” said Emily O’Neil, Executive Director. “Since 1977, the New Art Center has been a leader in Greater Boston, serving as a multi-disciplinary arts organization and building community through art. We are deeply excited to welcome Jan to the team, and look forward to her leadership.”
Dewey Nichols, chair of the Development Committee for the New Art Board of Governors noted, “Jan’s extensive background in institutional advancement coupled with her experience as an entrepreneur makes her uniquely qualified to lead the expansion of New Art’s Culture of Philanthropy.” The Director of Development Executive Search was conducted by Arts Consulting Group.
