Job Title: Senior Marketing Manager November 2025

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9–5 PM, with occasional weekend and evening hours required
Position Summary
We’re seeking a creative, collaborative, and strategic marketing professional to serve as the Senior Marketing Manager, bringing visibility to New Art through compelling storytelling, smart campaigns, and cohesive branding.
This hands-on role will manage the execution of marketing strategies across email, web, social, print, and grassroots channels—and will serve as the lead project manager for institutional communications and promotion. The ideal candidate is organized, deadline-driven, and energized by the opportunity to help a community-centered art organization grow and thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Oversight
- Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaigns (digital print, social, email etc). Work with minimum oversight to manage all aspects of marketing function, and multiple parallel projects.
- Understand and develop brand identity and apply it consistently across all marketing materials.
- Combine creative thinking with data driven decision making.
- Lead the development and implementation of an annual marketing strategy and calendar that aligns with organizational goals and enrollment, fundraising, and visibility targets.
- Manage all marketing and communications efforts, ensuring timely delivery across departments (education, development, exhibitions, public programs).
- Collaborate with the Board Marketing Committee to shape and support annual goals, campaigns, and outreach efforts.
- Coordinate with departments to manage content development while ensuring brand consistency.
- Manage and track the marketing budget in partnership with the Executive Director.
Email & Digital Marketing
- Develop and manage a comprehensive, cross-departmental email marketing strategy—building, maintaining, and segmenting contact lists to deliver targeted, compelling campaigns that drive enrollment, engagement, and giving.
- Create and schedule regular social media content across platforms; oversee engagement and analytics
Website, SEO & Brand Visibility
- Oversee website content updates and user experience (WordPress); work with web consultants for technical upgrades.
- Create and maintain landing pages for classes, events, exhibitions, and appeals.
- Track and report analytics and KPIs; adjust strategies based on data.
- Coordinate content capture as well as maintain and optimize Google AdWords/META and paid social campaigns (in partnership with consultants).
Management/Oversight
- Design and oversee production of outsourced print collateral: class postcards/promotional pieces, signage, annual reports, and event materials.
- Manage grassroots outreach, sandwich boards, local listings, and marketing for community events.
- Manage external vendor relationships and project work, including graphic designers, SEO/paid ad consultants (Art Center Canvas), and web developers
- Create communication plans; write and send press releases.
- Ensure signage and wayfinding are consistent and reflective of brand identitySupervise seasonal intern(s); provide mentorship and guidance
Qualifications
Required:
- 3–5 years of relevant marketing management experience, preferably in nonprofit or arts/culture sectors
- Strong email marketing and list segmentation experience
- Excellent writing, editing and communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Experience with CRM and email platforms (e.g. Constant Contact, Art Center Canvas)
- Experience with social media, digital ads, SEO, and web CMS (WordPress preferred)
- A collaborative mindset and ability to communicate across departments
- Comfortable with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, nimble environment
Preferred:
- Strong graphic design skills, and proficiency using Canva, InDesign, Photoshop
- Experience with Google Ads and META and SEO strategies
- Familiarity with non-profit database systems
- Passion for community arts and a commitment to inclusivity
Physical Requirements:
This position is based on-site in a historic building that does not currently have an elevator and requires the ability to climb stairs to access offices and meeting spaces. This position is primarily performed in an office environment and requires the ability to remain seated for extended periods, operate a computer and standard office equipment, and communicate effectively with others. Occasional lifting of materials weighing up to 20 pounds may be required.
Pay Range: $65,000 – $68,000/year
