Dates: 12/3
Details: Friday, 1 Session
Times: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Create a low relief tile out of ceramic fiber (a soft material easily cut or torn) on top of which 3 layers of glass (8” x 11”) will be kiln fired at 1500 degrees. The glass sheets will become one solid piece with the imprint of your low relief, exactly as you handcrafted it. You will have the option to add bright transparent colors to your project using colored pieces of thin fusible glass. Once kiln-fired your artwork will be inserted into a custom wooden frame for display. Your creation will be available for pickup within a week after class. Students must wear closed toe shoes, and safety glasses or eyeglasses. Other materials provided. No experience necessary.
Teens are welcome to register for the class if accompanied by a registered adult participant.
