Dates: 10/28 – 10/29
Details: Saturday – Sunday, 2 Sessions
Times: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
This workshop is to explore beyond traditional art making tools like pencils and brushes, and to push creative expression into play. On the first day, we will discuss traditional mark making and how motion and chance play roles in expressive mark making. The New Art instructor will provide numerous objects to be observed and handled to make several small study drawings/paintings by dipping, dragging, rolling etc., the objects through different mediums onto paper or canvas. Objects may include marbles, peacock feathers, toy cars, beads etc. and can be used themselves to create marks or can have charcoal attached in specific areas to create marks. The following day, attendees will bring their own objects and create more studies. This workshop is to get loose, have fun, and try some new things! See website for materials list.
