Dates: 1/16
Details: Monday, 1 Session
Times: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Join us for a day of art-making and friend-making while honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of unity and collaboration. This year students will work with artist-in-residence Jamaal Eversley to develop, perform, and film an original collaborative piece. Students will have their own exhibition with paintings made during the program displayed along with the filmed video performance in our New Art Corridor in January and February! This small program explores 2D (painting), mixed media collage, clay (air dry), and performing arts inspired by the work of famous Black artists. Students will bring home their clay pieces that day and may pick up their paintings and mixed media pieces after the exhibition. This exciting program is for elementary school students of all ages, and will be packed with possibilities for creativity and fun. Students will be grouped by age.
