New Art’s summer Programs for kids and Teens Update:

Week 2 – Kids

In our Botanical exploration week, students crafted their own flower crowns in 3D class with Abby using wire, pipe cleaners, coffee filters, and markers! Gabe taught students how to work with air-dry clay to create strong cacti sculptures (no water required!). In 2D class with Meg, we practiced watercolor techniques and built beautiful bouquets. In STEAM with Jazmyn, students learned about the importance of pollinators and what flowers they’re most attracted to. Inspired by flowers and gardens, each group crafted their own play inspired by stories and fables with Maddie. 

Week 2 – Teens

Teens had the opportunity to work with McCall to reflect on how self-portraiture conveys messages, and how artistic choices help us express ourselves through a painting. In ceramics, teens threw on the wheel and glazed their pieces wonderfully.
